- - Verification was terrible and the agent was hard to understand.
- - I answered yes about income, then she said I don't qualify and hung up.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Switched companies
The second representative I talked to I was able to understand, and was able to register me
Verification was terrible! I had difficulty understanding her.
I thought I picked out the word income so I told her I provided the income.
Her hesitant and broken English response was I need a yes or no answer . I answered yes which must have been the wrong answer needed and she thanked me, said I dont qualify and hung up.
User's recommendation: Answer “NO” if you can’t understand the question!

Want to warn people away from this company
- - Renewal notice was not sent.
- - Placed on an adjustable-rate plan without permission and I cannot recommend this company.
Clearview was supposed to send a mailing when my contract was up so I could renew my contract. They did not, so I was hit with a massive rate increase on their adjustable rate plan that they put me onto without my permission.
I tried to call them to fix the issue but couldn't reach anyone.
No callback from their callback number system as well. I cannot recommend this company.
User's recommendation: Choose a different energy supplier.
Ripped Off Offered A lower Rate got a higher rate and a 50.00 dollar early termination fee .
They Are Scammers and Crooks should be put out of business.Don't Give them your business. They Should Be Fined......

Price Gouging - Unexpected Rate Hike.
- - Two Clearview reps claimed they'd save on my electric bill.
- - Rates rose from about 6 cents per kWh to 13.2 cents.
- - It cost me hundreds of dollars over two years.
When two very unscrupulous Clearview representative came to my door claiming they were going to save me money on my electric bill I wound up with huge rate hikes, I started out at about 6 cents pure Kwh and ended up at 13.2 cents, Some people are struggling to pay their bills and this company cost me a hundreds of dollars the last two years. They have some contract with variable rates written in the fine print. With Utilities being a regulated industry how can they get away with this?
User's recommendation: Stick with the primary Utlity provider
Early termination fee
- - Signed up to save; no discount shown.
- - Late payment caused termination with Clearview; not disclosed.
- - Billed $50 later; renewal could avoid it.
The day I signed up I was busy in my front yard when I was approached.Being annoyed but a bit interested in saving a few bucks I singed up. I never saw any kind of discount on my bill but since I wasn't being charged anything either I didn't think to much about it.
I was never told there was an early termination fee it must be in the fine print, but when I was late with paying my bill and got a disconnect notice, which I had promptly paid, it somehow generated a termination with clearview, another fact I was not made aware of when signing up with them.
A few weeks later I got a bill from clearview for $50 but could avoid it if I renewed with them.Make sure you read the fine print and ask about any fees that may occur prior to signing up with them. It has cost me $50 to learn the hard way this is how they run their business.

Bait and Switch
- - One-year term at a reasonable rate.
- - After the term, rates more than doubled and autopay hid it.
- - Portal shows the rate and says I'm still under contract.
Signed up for a one year term at a reasonable rate, as soon as the term was done their rates apparently skyrocketed to more than double what I was being charged and what comed charges. Their scam worked because I had my electric bill on autopay and didn't notice, while their website portal continues to show my original contract rate and says I'm still under contract when I log in (screenshot attached). Insane that this is legal, I will be filing complaints wherever I can.
Preferred solution: Full refund
NOT, they charge extra $9.99 fee per month
Stay clear of Clearview energy for energy provider...they charge an extra service fee of $9.99 per month and don't tell you upfront about this extra cost. Pass the word to family and friends.
- Intimidation tactics
- Misleading
Preferred solution: Return of my early termination fee of $50
I do not recommend your company
- - I called on 11/6/2019 to cancel the contract before 12/12/2019.
- - I received a renewal notice for 12/13/2019 and I do not wish to renew.
I called customer service on November 6, 2019 to cancel my contract when it expires on December 12, 2019. I have received another renewal notice effective date December 13, 2019. I do not wish to renew under any circumstances.

- - Signed up at 9.45 c/kwhr.
- - Letter said variable at 10.79 c/kwhr.
- - Rates rose to 12.89 and 17.89; I'm trying to switch back to Nat Grid.
signed up for 9.45 c/kwhr. when it expired they did send a letter saying that now it is variable at 10.79c/kwhr.
I didn't notice word variable so i stayed with them. Then it went to 12.89 and then to 17.89. This is an outright fraud! There is no rates like this in MA.
Now I am trying to get out back to Nat Grid. Having problems doing so
Preferred solution: Price reduction
Fantastic
This company sent an employer by the name of Cyle to my address to replace my windshield this was my first experience doing this he was great and did a fantastic job!!!!! Thank you
Horrible company
- - Auto-renewed after a year.
- - Switched due to high rates.
- - Got a $150 early termination fee demand; not told.
i signed with them a yea rago and they sent me a letter stating they would renew me automatically if i did not do anything. their rates were high so i went to another company and told them when i was done with clearview .
now i get a letter in the mail from clearview stating i owe them 150.00 dollars for early termination fee. i told them that i was switching companies and nothing was said about an early termination fee.
it is not an early termination anyway. they can hold their breath for the payment!!!
Price gaugers
- - The 12-month contract was at 7.79 per kWh and expired Jan 2019.
- - Rate stayed at 7.79 through May then rose to 15.4 per kWh and JCP&L billed 8.8.
Had a 12 month contract at a rate of 7.79 Kwh. Contact expired in January of 2019.
Kept charging 7.79 thru the end of May when i was using little electricity. Once summer came they ratched rate up to 15.4 Kwh while my service provided JCP&L was only charging 8.8 Kwh.
of course they know it takes 2 months to switch back to JCP&L when my energy use will drop dramatically. This is a scam and they should be shut down.
These disgusting ***
Scammers that go door to door & prey upon younger adults and elderly people for their con games. Run as fast as you can
