I found their door to door guerrilla sales tactics awkward and completely unprofessional. Never had a problem with my previous gas supplier but then out of nowhere, this guy comes to my door in the middle of winter, proclaims I'm overpaying, says I NEED to switch services.

He promises me instant savings. I'm skeptical because I know this is a sales pitch but I'm open. The sketchy part comes when they ask you to confirm over the phone, as in right there; as in immediately following the sales pitch. Normally I like to think things over, maybe do some research, come back after a night's rest.

Not here. The salesman had to borrow my phone to make the call, put the thing on speaker from across the room, and basicly performs the agreement for me. Never heard of these people 30 minutes ago but here they are, unbeknownst, asking me to make a decision about something that I have no real visibility of, on the promise of savings.

Well, I can tell you a year later that you don't save *** In fact, my gas bill went up about 20%. Am I upset about that?

No because that's the dice I rolled. I accept that. But what I don't accept is the 50.00 fee i received after I unknowingly terminated my service 2 weeks prior to the agreement running out because I was moving my family out of state.

Let me tell you, their contract terms are NOT clear. If that's the premise this company likes to work under, i feel horrible for the customers they are trying to attain.

When I called to complain about the termination fee, I was told I had agreed to it during the our 15 minute phone call. I don't remember this but the truth is, I cannot recollect our entire conversation over 13 months later and I'm pretty sure that's their intent. Scheisty business practice all around - you don't need these guys.

When they come walking, don't answer your door. They are completely unnecessary.

You're rid of them now, thankfully. I'm polite to the door to door folks but never let them in, buy or sign anything.

It's usually not a problem because we have a long scary driveway that you can't tell where it leads until you follow it ... they usually stay away and we never get any trick or treaters.
